INCI name: Rosa damascena flower oil
Country of Origin: Damascus, Syria
Production method: Steam distilled from the flowers, picked by hand at dawn.
Use: Deeply nurturing and feminine. Nourishing and hydrating for the skin, a perfect oil to use in all skin care items, especially for the face and décolletage. A beautiful oil to use in the bath or blended into an oil to massage into your body for skin that feels amazing.
Properties: Rose essential oil has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and antiviral properties, which is why it's so precious to use in skin care.
Note: Please note that 1ml of rose oil comes in a 5ml container. The oil is extremely precious yet very potent so a tiny amount goes along way.
Scent: The scent is sweet and rosey - more honey like compared with Rose absolute.
Cautions: Dilute in a carrier oil before using on your skin (including in the bath).
How to use Rose Essential Oil
To make a body or bath oil add 2 to 6 drops in 10mls of carrier oil (e.g. jojoba or olive oil).
It feels lovely to massage under your collar bones, and to gently let your chest, heart and shoulders open out. Add a drop to your favourite face cream for a gorgeous skin care treatment.
Always dilute before skin application.
