INCI name: Origanum vulgare oil

Country of Origin: Spain

Production method: Steam distilled from the leaves of the plant.

Use: A strong anti-microbial oil and anti-fungal oil.

It works excellently for toe nail infections but you need to be dedicated to applying it everyday for about 6-9 months through out the growth of the nail.

Many people enquire about taking oregano oil internally, this should only be considered with the advice of a fully qualified and competent practitioner. Although this oil is pure enough to be used internally, it needs to be encapsulated otherwise it is too strong for the delicate lining of the digestive tract.

A small drop of oregano oil gargled is good when you have a cold (myrrh and lavender oil can also be used in this way).

Scent: Strong, herby scent.

Cautions: External use only, dilute in carrier oil before use on skin, avoid in pregnancy.
